Down Discussion With the Mompreneur herself Darlene
I
want to first start off thanking Darlene Delhomme for taking the time out her
day to let me interview her for my Mother's Day Blog it truly was pleasure
getting to catch up and see what great advice she had for all mothers. I
started the interview off asking the mother of 3 a couple of questions that I
wrote down. Then later we just begin to talk freely.
What advice could you
give a new mother?
Listen to your gut about
what you need to do for your child, Many people will have their opinions on
what you should and should not do it will get on your nerves at times but your
mother instinct will always kick in to guide you in making the right decision
for your child.
How
is it like raising 3 beautiful children?
"Girls Raising
three kids is hell pure hell Lol no I love raising my 3 kids."
My kids were back to
back so it like 7,6 and 1 year old.
Its a lot mentally on
you. People keep asking me do I want more kids and the answer to that is 3 and
done. You would think the older ones would make it easier but no it’s the total
opposite. The older one can do a lot of things on his own , My middle child is the laidback some what of a cry baby. Don't get her wrong she loves raising her children with
all her heart but her advice to upcoming mothers take your time find out who
you are first. There's nothing wrong with taking your time to have a child. She doesn’t
advised mothers to have their children back to back allow space for them to
grow.
How is it like being a Mompreneur
It is hard some days a lot sleepless night and a lot of money
going into this business so it need to pick up soon but I do enjoy it a lot.
Do you feel like children come before you Husband (Partner)
Yes absolutely with having small children they come first husband can
do for himself. My children are still babies so they need my full undivided attention
at all time.
What is it like being a wife?
I love it because were totally different I am the hot head while he's the calm and collected one. But it works for us.
We had some tough times in the beginning struggling to stay afloat. Due to us being so young at the time and not having a handle on our finances. But now we are in a good place.
What is it like raising two boys?
It’s a new adventure everyday with him.
How did you feel about finally having your baby girl
I screamed at the doctor office after the Dr. whispered in my ear
that I’d finally be having my girl. As soon as I found out I couldn’t help myself
in buying any and everything she needed.
How do you feel about Raising your kids in highlands county?
Honestly I’m not big on raising my kids in a bigger city. I am a
small town girl and that’s how I like it for right now.
